Welcome
to Tynecastle High
SchoolThe new Tynecastle High School is a great place to work and learn.
Although we are not a Community School many of our facilities can be booked as a LET. We do of course have a Community Wing that offers a range of courses and opportunities for Community Learning.
As well as being an excellent learning environment, Tynecastle is also a school with a strong sense of tradition and local identity. Our location at the heart of a strong community leaves us well placed to develop the range of partnerships needed to deliver Curriculum for Excellence.
Our cultural diversity also locates us at the heart of a global community. Over twenty languages are spoken by our students and staff and we are proud to celebrate our rich multi-cultural achievements.
Finally, we are an inclusive school where all students are welcome. We have superb student support arrangements and strive to ensure all of our students maximise their potential. As a result our students arrive at a range of positive destinations. We are also keen to hear about the achievements of ex-students, especially as this is our Centenary year.

The City of Edinburgh Council website
has changed. It is much easier to use, looks better and has some great
new features. Try out in your area where you can type in your postcode
and get local information for libraries, schools, community centres,
sport and leisure centres, waste collections, recycling centres and
parks.
The Green Team has moved to Tynecastle and is hoping to engage students in their
unique brand of practical conservation and outdoor learning. Find out more here or visit www.greenteam.org.uk
